PVA mesh is my favorite method and in my opinion seems to work the best, or at least is the most consistent when compared to the others, however if you can spare the groundbait it won't hurt to spod as well but it's not needed. Pop ups are designed for bottoms with grass or weed cover, sinking are designed for bottoms without cover, I've not noticed one or the other drifting except for before the bugs were patched.Īnd to be honest I don't think it really matters much as I've had equal luck using both in all bottom types.Ģ. The original problem with drift was a bug with rod stands and another with sinkers, if you are using a heavy enough sinker drift won't be a problem at this point. Been assured that barbed hooks work better than carp hooks - but bites seem GREATLY reduced. Should I only be using these two lines with my carp rigs or can I use my usual Fluro?ħ.
